Unfortunately, that is the reality of the world we live in. Charging in without acknowledgment of that nation's values and mores while "in" that nation only further's the world's view of us as "ugly Americans." Perception is reality holds as true in politics as it does in the workplace.

When is this administration going to wake up and show that they have an understanding of protocols when in a foreign country? First Michelle Obama pushing in to shake the hand of a devout Muslim, Hillary Clinton pushing the issue with the Minister from Iran.

Going to war with North Korea would be right up Obama's alley (provided he had the guts to engage in such an action). WWII pulled us out of the Great Depression. The military machine provided employment to many; both as soldiers and civilian jobs building fighting machines and munitions.
